New Nissan Micra for the Indian market gets unveiled

Last day, the world famous Japanese Car manufacturer’s Nissan Motor had unveiled their new small compact car Micra for the Indian market. As per the current reports, this new car from the Nissan Motor’s will start it’s production by the month of May from their Chennai plant.

Nissan Motor’s are planning to make around 70,000 to 80,000 units in the first year of production, of which only 20 per cent will be for the Indian market and rest will be exported. They are also producing this Micra from 4 other nations also, Thailand, China, Mexico and the last plant is yet to be decided.

Further more details like specification, features and pricing about this new small compact car Nissan Micra is yet to be officially confirmed but it is heard that it will be available in both petrol (1200 and 1300 CC variants) and diesel (1600 CC) options. It is expected to be priced somewhere in the range of Rs. 4 to 5 Lakhs and shall be available in 11 colors.

Let’s wait upto this June 2010, for the arrival of Nissan Micra into the Indian mini car segment which is currently dominated by Maruti Suzuki and Hyundai.
