SANYO just announced the release of the world’s first waterproof Full HD Dual Camera that can be used underwater. The DMX-CA100 will be launched at the end of June 2010. In order to further enhance the concept of “a Dual Camera that can be used anywhere and anytime,” SANYO is now introducing this new Dual Camera Xacti model. It enables people with active lifestyles to capture high resolution photos just like a regular digital camera and Full HD videos in all kinds of outdoor situations, not just in the city, but also at the beach or at the mountains.

Swiss studio Estragon have designed a camera for Swiss camera manufacturer ALPA. The compact square design operates as a 6×9 roll-film or 60 MP digital camera, including a rosewood or pear handle. Beauty one!

The Fujifilm FinePix is a camera intended for photographing at pool or beach side. It is a waterproof camera which can be used at a maximum of 10 feet deep and continuously for 2 hours. Due to the limitation on depth and time, this camera cannot be used for taking pictures deep under water for long time. However, this camera finds its applications in taking snapshots in a dusty, dirty and damp region.

FUJIFILM India has announced the launch and availability of 14 digital camera models into the Indian market. FUJIFILM has launched four new models of its ‘A series’ compacts (AV100, AV150, AX200 & AX250) featuring high definition (HD) image and video capture for the first time on entry-level cameras.
These are easy-to-use and are ideal for people who are investing in their first digital camera. Offering a combination of various mega pixel resolutions, Fujinon zoom lenses and LCD screen sizes, consumers will be able to choose a camera that perfectly suits their needs and budget, one that features all of FUJIFILM’s advanced technologies such as Automatic Scene Recognition, Face Detection, Digital Image Stabilization, high ISO sensitivity levels, Picture Search (as per the scene mode), and Panorama Shooting Mode which allows users to stitch three photos together to create a panoramic image (perfect for wide landscapes, tall buildings or large groups of people).

This is a small and a stylish camera which is available in many colors like black, pink, green etc. Light in weight, this camera can be easily kept in a bag and is rather portable. The control of Z33WP is a bit different from other cameras. It will take short for you to get a little used to this device. The power button and the shutter release button are at the top which can confuse you while deciding which button does which function. But on using it after a while, you would be able to handle it easily. At the bottom right is a button that switches the camera form the still image mode to the video mode which means it lets you record video clips. However, the camera takes three or four seconds to switch from image mode to video.

Z33WP is a simple camera and provides you with only basic features. It is designed for plain photography. Another thing about this camera is that it is not fast enough. It’ll take about 3.5 seconds to take one picture right after another.

This compact Nikon super-zoom offers a lot for its price, but it is definitely targeted at novice users

The Nikon CoolPix L110 is a 12.1-megapixel compact digital camera with a 15x super-zoom lens that covers 28-420mm (35mm-equivalent focal range). It runs on four AA batteries, has a bright 3in LCD screen and can record movies at up to 720p.

Super-zoom cameras often look like shrunken digital SLR cameras, and the Nikon CoolPix L110 is no different. Its 15x zoom lens protrudes significantly from the rest of the camera body, and a clip-on lens cap is required to protect the front element. The right-handed grip houses four AA batteries, bringing the camera’s overall weight to 406g. The camera’s body is predominantly black plastic with a rubber hand-grip. We thought the build quality was mediocre, and we expected a rechargeable battery for the $399 asking price.

The Nikon CoolPix L110 has a 3in LCD. It can be seen easily even in bright conditions thanks to an anti-glare coating. We would have liked to an electronic viewfinder to be included as well, to ensure the camera was usable even in the brightest conditions.

The Nikon CoolPix L110′s picture quality was acceptable but unspectacular. We like that the lens starts at a comparatively wide 28mm, making it good for capturing group shots or city snaps. Maximum zoom reaches an impressive 420mm, so you’ll be able to peep at your neighbours down the street as long as you can hold the camera steady. The 15x zoom lens performs surprisingly well, with distortion under control at both the wide- and narrow-angle ends of the zoom range. The lens is reasonably sharp, but is let down overall by the CoolPix L110′s tiny image sensor, which simply cannot capture a great deal of fine detail. Chromatic aberration is a problem in high-contrast scenes.

The sensor of the Nikon CoolPix L110 captures 12.1 megapixels (Mp) — for an effective image resolution of 4000x3000pixels — but unless you are in ideal lighting conditions, the results from the camera aren’t fantastic. Excessive JPEG compression robs files of fine detail, and while ISO 100 shots are smooth, climbing above ISO 400 introduces significant grain and smearing from noise reduction. ISO 3200 and 6400 files are restricted to 3Mp — even at this low resolution images appear unnaturally smooth and lacking depth or detail. We’d class this camera’s high ISO performance as average at best. Images from the Nikon CoolPix L110 often seem slightly washed out with subdued colours and poor highlight detail.

A combination of sensor-shift and optical image stabilisation allows images to be captured blur-free in dim lighting conditions. We managed to get consistently blur-free shots at 1/8sec at the 28mm zoom setting. It’s more useful for taking photographs hand-held at maximum zoom levels, though — with both systems enabled, the image displayed on the rear screen sways smoothly rather than shaking uncontrollably.

The Nikon CoolPix L110′s 720p movie mode surprised us. Recording is started by a dedicated button on the rear of the camera — it takes a few seconds to begin but the picture quality is decent and the ability to autofocus and zoom while filming (albeit slowly) is useful. A top-mounted stereo microphone captures ambient noise reasonably well, although its range is minimal.

The main sticking point with the Nikon CoolPix L110 is its simplistic control scheme. There is no manual settings option, with users required to pick between a series of scene modes, an auto mode and an easy auto setting. The only easily accessible options are exposure compensation and the camera’s macro focusing mode. Navigating through the menu system takes some time and effort, with sub-menus poorly distinguished and significant lag between pressing a button and the camera responding.

The Nikon CoolPix L110 super-zoom digital camera is well suited to amateurs who don’t intend on getting into photography — without an easily accessible manual mode it’s intended to please the point-and-shoot crowd. Image quality isn’t fantastic, but it is at least consistent across the entire zoom range.

The Panasonic Lumix G2 is the world’s first system camera that comes with touch-control shooting. Touch the screen to focus and you can also use auto focus and shutter release at the same time with just a touch. It has a 12-megapixel sensors, 3-inch swivel LCDs and supports 720p HD recording. Canon introduces its new Rebel series Digital Camera – EOS Rebel T2i. The Canon EOS Rebel T2i Digital Camera is a DSLR( Digital SLR) which features Canon’s innovative DIGIC 4 Imaging Processor and the improved iFCL 63-zone Dual Layer Metering System. The camera measures about 128.8×97.5×75.3 mm and weighs just 530 grams. The Digital SLR camera comes with a 3 inch LCD display.

While coming to the detailed specifications of the Camera, the Canon EOS Rebel T2i DSLR Camera features an 18.7 MegaPixel CMOS Sensor and is equipped with ISO from 100 to 6400. The camera supports the Full HD 1080p resolution Video recording at 30fps. The camera comes with support to SD, SDHC, SDXC memory cards with the enhanced memory card reader.

Canon Rebel T2i DSLR Camera is expected to be available by the march 2010 at a price of about $799.99.

Other than the VIXIA FS31 and FS300 Digital Camcorders, Canon company also launches its HF series camcorders – VIXIA HF R11, VIXIA HF R10 and VIXIA HF R100. The main highlight of the new VIXIA HF series camcorders is that all are based on the flash memory and supports Full HD. The camcorders comes with 2.7-inch LCD display.

Canon VIXIA HF R11, VIXIA HF R10 and VIXIA HF R100 camcorders comes with 2.39 Megapixel CMOS sensor, DIGIC DV III Image Processor and Canon 20x zoom HD Video Lens. Other features of the VIXIA HF R series Full HD camcorders include Smart Auto mode, Touch and Track, Dynamic IS and Advanced Video Snapshot features. All camcorder models support SD/SDHC cards and the HF R11 and HF R10 come with 32GB and 8GB of internal flash memory, respectively.

While coming to the pricing details of the Canon VIXIA HF Series camcorders, Canon VIXIA HF R11 will be available for for $699.99, VIXIA HF R10 at $549.99 while the canon VIXIA HF R100 comes with a pricetag of $499.99. All the three models will be available in March.
