Ferrari World at Abu Dhabi

Yes, many of you might have been to Disneyland few times, even countless times if you loved Mickey Mouse so much (or maybe Goofy). But I bet many dads (or boys, and some petrol head ladies) would really love to go to this new theme park. It’s called the Ferrari World, and is located at Abu Dhabi.

Situated in Yas Island, this park is under a 200,000 square metres (2,200,000 sq ft) roof, making it the largest indoor amusement park in the world. You can’t really miss that red Ferrari-themed roof when you’re in Abu Dhabi. Ferrari called this fantasy park an “exciting attraction designed to tell the Ferrari story, passion, excellence, performance and technical innovation to families.” Sure is a nice way to share the stories of Ferrari, and they’re sure kind, as the numbers of visitors expected to visit this humongous theme-park yearly isn’t enough to cover the overall cost and maintenance of the park itself in the 1^st ten years.

With more than 20 rides and attractions lying beneath the iconic 200,000 m² red roof, Ferrari World Abu Dhabi will offer guests the time of their lives with a host of attractions that indulge the senses in ways never experienced before. With the thrill of some of the world’s most inventive rides, eye-catching surroundings, authentic aromas and distinctive sounds of Italy, Ferrari World Abu Dhabi will have something for everyone.

Ferrari has also been ‘so kind’ of flooding visitors with lots of attractions and fun-ness to not bore them. There’s the world’s fastest roller coaster (240km/h of pure screaming rides) Formula Rossa, the “V12” flume ride inside a 12-cylinders engine, Fiorano GT Challenge – A unique dueling rollercoaster with Ferrari F430 Spiders twisting and turning through tight corners on a sprint to the finish line, and a thrilling tower ride called “G-Force” that will shoot you through the red roof and 62-meters beyond inside a seat inspired by the Ferrari Enzo (sure would be scary and fun).

If you’re a little faint-hearted, they’ll accommodate your needs as well with attractions such as Made in Maranello which is a virtual trip behind factory doors, taking you through the intricate process of making the world’s most sought after car. There’s also the Viaggio in Italia, a virtual aerial voyage over Italy’s cities and their main monuments, mountains and coasts pursuing a Ferrari. There’s also a 4D fantasy journey for you to view, following the adventures of a young boy as he travels through a kaleidoscopic dreamscape of natural and phenomenal environments, where no Ferrari has gone before. But Ferrari doesn’t stop there, as they’re kin to share with you their history, and Italy as well. Bell’Italia is miniature recreation of Italy’s most famous locations, from the picturesque Portofino and the Amalfi Coast to Monza racetrack, the Colosseum in Roma, Venezia and Maranello, the heartland and home of Ferrari. Really makes you feel like you’re in Italy.

Petrol head visitors will have plenty of chances to enjoy the thrill of racing, with attractions like Scuderia Challenge, which is a cutting edge race simulator used by the drivers of Scuderia Ferrari, Junior GT which is a driving school for kids with expert instruction where they will drive reduced scale F430 GT Spiders on an equipped driving course. After the Junior GT driving experience, potential F1 drivers can enjoy the race track in scaled down Ferrari F1 racers in the Junior Grand Prix.
